The Connecticut Critics Circle announced its nom,inations for the best of the 2009-10 theater season.

The winner will be named June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Westport Country Playhouse. the public is invited.


  The Critics Circle is composed of some of the state's theater reviewers. (Critics and theater writers for The Courant, New Haven Register, Stamford Advocate, Variety and the Connecticut edition of The New York Times do not participate in the organization and its voting.)

The nominees are:

Outstanding actor in a musical: Kevin Earley in "Annie Get Your Gun' at Goodspeed; Randy Harrison in "Pop" at Yale Rep ; Jeremy Peter Johnson in "She Loves Me" at westport; Jon Petersonm in "Song Man, Dance Man" at Seven Agels; Brian Charles Rooney in "Pop!" at Yale Rep.
